Taking inspiration from historical styles and processes, and working with curious concepts, Hex & Henbane offers luxury homewares with a story to tell.
Hex & Henbane is a British luxury home décor brand, specialising in wallcoverings and printed textiles with a dark edge and a story to tell. The brand was established in 2018 by Derbyshire based designer Lucy Bentley, as she completed her final year studying Decorative Arts.
Lucy has always had a keen interest in historical design, spending her weekends growing up exploring National Trust properties and local stately homes, enchanted by their interiors and the stories they held. It perhaps comes as no surprise that this is where she draws much of the inspiration from for her own work.
Lucy holds the Arts and Crafts movement particularly dear; their attitudes towards fine craftsmanship, heritage and tradition resonating strongly with her – themes which she tries to carry through into her practice. She particularly aims to push the boundaries between fine art and design, working with curious, magical concepts to make her designs become the talking point of any room.
Each design is meticulously hand illustrated by Lucy, before being digitally printed by local suppliers to the highest quality.
